i endorse shri r subramaniyam.
Too many followers, countless come up saying they are conveying the preachings and teachings of bhagavan. i dont know how many are true to the core of originality as propounded by Bhagavan and i am  unclear whether if reading by some one's  whose popularity  is reasonably good / high whether I am  reading Bhagavan's only, as exactly they were told/written. this is because of number of authors both from eastern and western.. i refer to mountain path oct -dec 2009 issue. There is an article  captioned,  "With Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi" by swami damodarananda.
in that , bhagavan while elaborating on  japa -sadhana, afer quoting an endorsing  sloka from Gita ,says ,to quote ..........
"he said that of all the ways to offer one self to paramatman[ thesupreme being], the easiest and the best method was the repetition of the manthra of own's chosen deity.Japa promoted a  constant flow of loving prayer from within for inner illumination.this woke up a subtle thirst that steadily increased, leading to a strong under current of continuous  divine discontent known as vyakulata. when this holy attitude developed into deep absorption[dhyana] the divinity revealed itself from within. This was atma-darshan"
 now my clarifications are
a]why the sayings and actions are in past tense.  like promoted....developed...revealed........was.... etc etc.  why not in present tense like promotes...reveal .... etc etc  as if  the ref is to a  previous time when Gita was told..
and b] under current of continuous divine discontent known as vyakulata
what is divine discontent in this context;what is the interpretation of this full sentence.

would feel much obliged to know  from inputs of learned members

many in bangalore who travel to tiruvannamalai might be aware that NH is horrible, road work stopped and hence unfit to be used. feel sorry for bus drivers as how they drive saving the back bone . Agony to passengers that too to elderly  needs no saying.
however for those who go in car, the following alternate route is  suggested which is   comfortable apart from reaching early.this is for the benefit of those who do not know of an alternate route

obviously for return journey same is in reverse order.

If any one has tried yet  another route the same may be kindly shared.

General Discussion / How do pariharas work?
« on: November 17, 2014, 06:55:29 AM »
I have heard  pariharas work.
 But how?
is doing a parihara suggested?
Let us say, if someone had a bad karma to suffer a disease, they do pariharas and their affliction goes away.. But what happens to the pending bad karma? Will it return back in the next life?
Are Pariharas  like anti depressants; are they meant to divert the mind and mask the symptoms rather than 'curing' it.?
but Master's like Maharshi Bhagavan & Jeevan Muktas go thru their effect of the Prarabhda Karma and do not do any Pariharams to "nullify' the effect of it. is it because they  they know that Karma is to be borne with.

can the valued members share  updates please..............
