thank you .
om namo bhagavathe sri ramanaya

please clarify to me: this is  said by our great  sage, Bhagavan Ramana . I agree, respect, and pranams. when i am into doing an act as  a part of day to day life's  call  i need obviously  put my attetntion to what i have to do or what i am  doing, like i drive or bath etc etc.  Is it not? At those  time/  which is always in succession  daily how can/do i be   aware of the "I- am" also?  our attention is to be focussed on one thing  at a time .....right.  how one  can be  being aware of true self/nature  and carry out the  task on hand  for both to be  in tantem. like always thro out daily till we sleep ? i request and solicit practical & followable guidelines please. Om Namo sri Arunachala Ramanaya

namo ramana

thank you

will keep upating your goodself

if one has to grasp the silence who is the one who is grasping thw silence?  is not that  one aware that he is trying to   grasp  the silence or grasping the silence  and this stage could lead to further stage that "one" watching the silence. So is not the one who is apparently seem to watching the silence, the  ego?  then at what stage the ego drops off............

yes i watched that. very good . but some more essentials  like details of  skandasramam and virupaksha cave etc  could have been  included which  formed  part of shri Bhagavan's life with His body

General Discussion / The Power of Arunachala......
« on: November 05, 2017, 07:06:21 AM »

Arunachala has always been renowned as the bestower of liberation, the destroyer of the ego, the remover of the false notion 'I am the body' - as the jnana-Guru par excellence.

When Brahma and Vishnu began to quarrel, being deluded by pride and egoism, Lord Arunachala Siva appeared before them in the form of a column of fire, thereby vanquishing their egoism and teaching them true knowledge. When Sakti, Goddess Parvati, wished to attain a state in which she could do no wrong, Lord Siva sent her to Arunachala, where she merged and became one with him. Thus, even to Brahma and Vishnu, Arunachala was Guru, and to Parvati it was the place where she lost her separate individuality.

Throughout the ages saints and sages have sung verses in Sanskrit, Tamil and other Indian languages extolling the unique power of Arunachala to root out the ego and to bestow Self-knowledge. All the four great Saiva sages of Tamil Nadu, Manikkavachagar, Sundaramurti, Appar and Jnanasambandhar, have sung in praise of Arunachala. In one verse often pointed out by Sri Bhagavan, Jnanasambandhar described this hill as being jnana-tiral, a dense mass of jnana. And Sundaramurti, singing in Tiruvanaikka, remembers Arunachala and sings, 'O Annamalai, you can be known only to those who give up the attachment to the body'.

These puranic stories and songs of ancient sages all confirm the fact that Arunachala is the supreme jnana-Guru. But this fact has received its most striking confirmation from Sri Bhagavan. In verse nineteen of Aksharamanamalai he explicitly states that Arunachala shines as the form of his Guru; and in the same verse he reveals the function of the real Guru, namely to destroy all our defects, including the root-defect, the ego, to bestow all good qualities upon us and to rule over us.

thank you for  your updates .

i dont know what to say .

i think this is the first such occurrence  in Ramana asramam wherein regular commoners are not able to enter at certain occassions

Could be  so that  asramam authorities have to oblige to a VIP and thereby  they have to restrict so.

what one can not cure one has to endure

we can't rule out  such happenings in future

saduragiri is one such place where no VIP can visit as there are  road to go up and no helipad  can be set up. if the VIP wants to worship sundara mahalinga  swamy one  has to walk up to  the mountain top  which  no he/she VIP  going to do .

let us  pray to Bhagavan

do u mean regular common devotees are kept away entering the asram?. Can't be. Are you carrying a correct news that regular  devoteees were held at gate not allowed entry?  In my humble opinion  i have read that even during Bhagavan's alive period  He never distinguished between 'big' and 'small' devotees. He was offering anugraham to one and all indiscriminately. Please confirm.Namo Ramana

it is reported  that shri Amit shah, President of BJP is visiting asramam today
Obviously other state big weights will accompany him
Bhagavan's premises with It's ever present silence  there will remain  many fold more despite their visit and Bhagavan's Grace will be  showering on them like to any other commoner.
