Not considering oneself the doer is complete surrender together with not seeking answers and accepting things as they are!

Dear ramana, yes it is very difficult but we have to transcend them, by constant effort, Tapas. We have to continue to be like a Lotus flower in water and remain untouched.

Dear Ramana, Yes, but as part of "Enquiry", it does not matter whether we realise the truth or not. Bhagavan's word are the truth. It does not become false due to our experiential reality. Hence, we should pay no heed or interest in these matters while doing enquiry. All that there is, is outgoing mind, which needs made to be looked within.

And, Bhagavan has said at severa instances, that, this thought is the problem -

even the idea that we will not care our parents is also just the fear of the outgoing mind. There are no such fears. Instead, Bhagavan says, just enquire, hold on to the 'I' nothing else. and moreover, it does not mater really to us, whether people realise or not? does it? we should be meditating instead

Life continues the same. The Prarabhda itself takes care of our life, one will take care of what needs to be taken care by the force of our Prarabdha itself. Our free will extends to doing tapas in abidance as Self. We need to give up the doership of the feeling that I am taking care of my parents, I am taking care of my friends.

One will begin to take care of his parents, friends as not "others" but as Himself. You love them as they are yourself. You love yourself by loving them! There are no others, here.

Jesus has said, Love thy neighbor as Thyself, as Thy neighbor is Thyself.

Nothing else is as important as restricting the outgoing mind. It is all Maya...

Even to acknowledge, that there will be "others" till ego is completely annihilated is wrong because, you are able to say this only after the emergence of 'I' instead, it is best to focus on 'I' holding on it to the"I am" not even letting it out to acknowledge that others exist! such should be our "STEADFASTNESS"

Let "others" exist or not, what matters to us? we should remain focused on "I am" the Self with absolute faith and sincerity! Only this "I am" is... this should be our faith. This is the only reality

That's my belief too. The questions were for the people who doesn't believe like us, what would happen to them. Well, we don't know what will happen to us either. :)

As part of enquiry, that  "other" is ourselves only! There are no 'other people' as we think to be!

Dear ramana,

this question arises because the mind conceives that those paths are inferior! No paths are inferior and all paths confer the Truth if one is sincere and has faith in ones own path, Guru. To consider something as inferior or superior is avidya.

Even the concepts of Advaita, duality or non duality are only mind's. The Truth is none of these (what mind conceives)

I get your question, am deliberately diverting your attention to the source. Because the question is not important and even less the answer to that question!

Unless the emergence of your self, how are you able to ask this question? are you able to see this?

Don't emerge, just be.

There is nothing in the Non Emergence! are you able to see this? :)

Ramana,

It is the emerged "I" in us, that is hypothetically thinking whether a jnani sees or nor! Not the Jnani! We are only saying, not the jnani, the emerged "I" in us is what is having these ideas.

When in Deep Sleep, where was a Jnani, where was this question? All this comes up when the "I" emerged. Don't emerge, Just be!

There are no jnanis out there, apart from yourself, the Self. Jnani different from you(self) is also illusion

Remain as the seed within the earth, not allowing to sprout as sapling. when the sapling sprouts, it needs water, and so on....

its all only imaginations.

All these comes about only after the emergence of "I". The world and thoughts and realisation belong only to the emerged "I"

The Self itself is mind when it goes out and when it abides it is it Self - "Non Emergence"

Abandon all (desires, quest) and just be.

There was a girl of marriageable age and her parents had selected the groom, who in accordance  with ancient customs was first in the line of marriageable relatives. But the girl was determined only to marry a person who was the best among all. SO the parents left her alone.

The girl said that the king is higher than everyone else and she will marry none other than the king. And so she kept following the King.

The king was riding in a palanquin one day and met a sanyasi on the way. The king got down, made his obeisance to the holy man and then continued on his way.

The girl was watching: "what a fool I am to think that the king is the highest among men. The Sanyasi seems to be higher than the king. I must somehow marry the holy man." So thinking, this girl followed the Sanyasi.

One day, when following the Sanyasi, she saw him paying his respects to an idol of Lord Ganesh under a banyan tree. She then changed her opinion and decided to marry Lord Ganesh as she found him higher than the Sanyasi who paid homage to Him. Instead of following this holy man, she sat close to Ganesh.

There were not many who visited the place where the idol was. It was not a temple but merely the foot of a tree. Therefore, a street dog that was passing by emtied its bladder on the idol. The girl then thought that the dog must be higher than the idol and started running after the dog.

An urchin passing by threw a stone at the dog. It howled in pain and ran faster. A young man who was watching this chastised the boy for being unkind to the dumb creature who had done him no harm. The girl ultimately thought that the one who thrashed the boy who beat the dog should be the best. So, she decided to marry that youth. It turned out, at last, that the youth was the one who had been chosen by her parents. Thus, it turned out that the person whom she thought was far away was in fact very close.

Dear Krishnan,

sometimes, silence is the best response. Bhagavan said, Silence is eloquent.

Bhagavan has said, like how a person, when he touches the fire, burns, irrespective to the fact, whether that person knew anything about the fire or not, the fire still burns! In the same way, a person who once comes in touch with Arunachala, is impacted whether or not the person came so with absolute faith or was just passing by the town, It has impact and it places the seed to liberation! Like how a small seed grows into the great ashwatta tree, this seed implants the seed for liberation.

Even though one chants or listens the Vedas without knowing its meaning, one can feel the impact of the vibrations of the chanting.

Good to hear your accounts of your visit to Ramanashramam Krishnan!

Subramanain Sir,

Yes, this leads one to wisdom, that everything will pass, no matter what. Nothing remains permanent, be it our joys, sorrows, passion, anger, happiness, moments, memories, bad experiences, bad times...

everything passes...

One should remember that all experiences in our life are impermanent, by realising the truth that those experiences are the fruits of our past karmas. Let the fruits come about and it will end. Those fruits of past karmas has to end when it gets over, when all the fruits gets exhausted. We have to just be "JAGRITH" - "Awake" not to make new Karmas. Just remain aware of this truth that, this moment is the result of my past karma and I know it will pass and it does not matter to me the fruits it is throwing about. I will make sure I will not make new karmas anymore.
