What is perceived is just bangle, but what is, is just Gold*!

(*Gold is also just a perceived term)

"Enlightenment, for a wave in the ocean,
is the moment the wave realises it is water
."

~Thich Nhat Hanh

You are a limb of society. Society is the body, individuals are its members, its limbs. Just as the various limbs help and cooperate with one another, and thus are happy, so each must unite with others in being helpful to all, in thought, speech and action.

365
In direct knowing, you can feel yourself one with the One that exists. The whole body becomes a mere power, a force-current. Your life becomes a needle drawn to a huge mass of magnet; and, as you go deeper and deeper, you become a mere centre and then not even that; for you become a mere consciousness. There are no thoughts or cares any longer, they were shattered at the threshold. It is an inundation. You are a mere straw, you are swallowed alive, but it is very delightful. For you become the very thing that swallows you. This is the union of the individual with the Absolute, self with Reality, the loss of ego in the real Self, the destruction of falsehood, the attainment of Truth.

366
Natural being or natural abidance itself is without concepts. For, in this state the mind is free from doubts. It has no need to swing between alternatives of possibilities and probabilities. It has no active predispositions [vikalpas] of any kind. It is sure of the Truth. It feels the presence of the real. Even when it is active, it knows it is active in the Reality, the Self, the Supreme Being.

Thanks Subramanina Sir for this reminder. Friends, Though all such Mahant's may have such death days, it would be most appropriate to recognise that there really isn't any death day really, for one and all are but only the children of immortality!

Immortality
[C.S. Bharati]

A thousand voices have declared it of old and some are proclaiming it to-day, but still it is not an ?old truth?. It is very new, this truth of ?immortality?. May millions declare it, and many millions of millions realize it, in all the worlds.

Man can make himself immortal here on earth by making his personality one with the Soul of the Universe. This unification can be achieved by the ceaseless exercise of Will. Collect all the life-streams and though-streams in thy being, making them all into a might river. Let this mighty river ever flow towards the Truth. And the Truth shall make thee immortal.

The body must be prepared for holding and reflecting the light even before the latter is realized in the mind. This can be done by dispensing with all superfluities in dress and by a constant and intelligent motion of the limbs. We must give the body sufficient natural food, when it really requires it. We must keep it clean and tidy, vigorous and active. But we must never worry our minds about it, never entertain any fears on its behalf, and never release our complete mastery over it. Life can be made electric, thoughts luminous, and soul joyous by exercising all our inner and outer faculties justly and well, all the while ?meditating on the Truth?.

For a Divine Truth is the first reality of man?s experience. There is a Beauty in the heart of this world. All conscious things are conscious of it in various degrees. Indeed some may deny the All-Great of the Universe while they are arguing either with themselves or with others. But all have felt it. It is what you know as existence, life, thought, passion, aspiration or love. The All-Great is the foundation of the sense of reality. The world lives. It has therefore a life working in and though its body. It is the life of the Universe that the sages have glorified by the name Divine.

Deep in the heart of Nature, there is an unending flow of harmony. Whose drinks of this harmony attains to immortality. Trees, stars and clods, the ripples on the stream and the fair minds of Brindaban-they all melt into one joy of life when the notes of the Divine Flute are heard. The voice of immortality shall make thee realize that thou art one with the dawn and the night, the stars and the pebbles. And yet it is this realization that a man must have before ever he can hear the voice of immortality.

Self-surrender is the supreme condition of winning the universal life. Men will part with their wealth, their rights and even their lives, at the call of religion. But when you ask them to exchange their human self for the divine self, which is exactly what all great religions want them to do, they refuse. For the wine of mortality has a terrible fascination for most of us. And yet by flinging myself into the blazing fire of universal Reality. I do not lose myself. I emerge out of the ordeal, shining and deathless. Brothers and sisters, come let us strive to become immortals by losing ourselves in the Supreme Light.

"Once a Vedantic monk came here.  He used to dance at the sight of a cloud.  He would go into an ecstasy of joy over a rain-storm.  He would get very angry if, anyone went near him when he meditated.  One day I came to him while he was meditating, and that made him very cross.  He discriminated constantly, 'Brahman alone is real and the world is illusory.' Since the appearance of diversity is due to maya, he walked about with a prism from a chandelier in his hand.  One sees different colours through the prism; in reality there is no such thing as colour.  Likewise, nothing exists, in reality, except Brahman.  But there is an appearance of the manifold because of maya, egoism.  He would not look at an object more than once, lest he should be deluded by maya and attachment.  He would discriminate, while taking his bath, at the sight of birds flying in the.  sky.  He knew grammar.  He stayed here for three days.  One day he heard the sound of a flute near the embankment and said that a man who had realized Brahman would go into samādhi at such a sound."

It needs a quiet mind to know the Divine Will. In the quiet mind turned towards the Divine the intuition (higher mind) comes of the Divine's Will and the right way to do it.

Do? Why should he want to do anything if he was in the eternal peace or Ananda or union with the Divine? If a man is spiritual and has gone beyond the vital and mind, he does not need to be always "doing" something. The self or spirit has the joy of its own existence. It is free to do nothing and free to do everything - but not because it is bound to action and unable to exist without it.

~Sri Aurobindo

The jnani appreciates all distinctions, but he always perceives and experiences the one Reality in all of them. That is why he has no preferences. Whether he moves about, or talks or acts, it is all the one Reality in which he acts or moves or talks. He has or sees nothing apart from the one Supreme Truth.

373
If you remain in the "don't want" state, everything will come to you. That is why both likes and dislikes are not wanted.

374
"This perception of division between the seer and the object that is seen, is situated in the mind. For those remaining in the heart, the seer becomes one with the sight."

Stray thoughts...

Be utterly sharp and steadfast in regarding whole world as mere illusion,
at the same time, be utterly tender in showering compassionate empathy
of thorough understanding of the same illusion!

just keep moving, Don't look back, don't carry emotions and sweet memories,
just carry the weightless essence alone.
