i have to say it out, that i was little averse to the great christian masses here in India, who engage in mass conversions, and speak extremely passionately in TV channels and so on. But since i got immersed into these wonderful revelations of the Lord. I am completely dissolved of any aversion. I see a sense of intense compassion that has arisen from within. Those conversions no longer trouble me, as it dawned to me that those who get converted go to the same lap of the Lord and conversion or baptism is a symbolic ritual of complete surrender or sharanagati on the Lord.

Wish you all the best. I certainly do not see anything worthy in continuing a useless discussion. I would discuss fervently where there is true spirit of reflection, and not where there is just one sided song!

You have seen me in past and my responses too. I have never tried to prove or disprove anything. But only try to point out the the look holes.

I have read your articles, how do you say, I have not seen what you have presented, I have read your articles, and also followed all your exchanges.

and at various instances i have made known clearly, those points that did not resonate with me. But At each of those instances, you did not continue to respond back to me, so as to allow reflections to take place.

you have to give some space to "pUrvapakShA" and allow reflection within yourself.

Friend, i do not think, anybody really spoke about credentials, what does anybody gain by knowing anything about anybody's credentials. You should have known by know that extensive discussion was all not about people but about what you were trying to convey, did not resonate, but you did not give a chance to allow reflection to take place.

Whosoever communicates, the reason enlightens itself. You have not allowed yourself to build your point of view in a manner that its true light can been seen. Friend, you have to build your defences to voice your view. If you are convinced about something, it all lies in your hands to present it in a manner that is acceptable to everybody, more, acceptable to the pramANas of scriptures.

I do not see, anywhere, anybody spoke whether you are free or not, you are giving it yourself. Instead, you can build your defence better and see to it you convey what you want to within the structure of scriptural boundary.

Hemadpant concludes this chapter with a story of Nanasaheb Chandorkar. When Nanasaheb was once sitting in the Masjid with Mhalasapati and others, a Mahomedan gentlemen from Bijapur came with his family to see Baba. Seeing gosha (veiled) ladies with him, Nanasaheb wanted to go away, but Baba prevented him from doing so. The ladies came and took the darshan of Baba. When one of the ladies removed her veil in saluting Baba's feet and then resumed it again, Nanasaheb, who saw her face, was so much smitten with her rare beauty that he wished to see her face again. Knowing Nana's restlessness of mind, Baba spoke to him after the lady had left the place as follows - "Nana, why are you getting agitated in vain? Let the senses do their allotted work, or duty, we should not meddle with their work. God has created this beautiful world and it is our duty to appreciate its beauty. The mind will get steady and calm slowly and gradually. When the front door was open, why go by the back one? When the heart is pure, there is no difficulty, whatsoever. Why should one be afraid of any one if there be no evil thought in us? The eyes may do their work, why should you feel shy and tottering?"

Shama was there and he could not follow the meaning of what Baba said. So he asked Nana about this on their way home. Nana told him about his restlessness at the sight of the beautiful lady, how Baba knew it and advised him about it. Nana explained Baba's meaning as follows - "That our mind is fickle by nature, it should not be allowed to get wild. The senses may get restless, the body, however, should be held in check and not allowed to be impatient. Senses run after objects, but we should not follow them and crave for their objects. By slow and gradual practice retlessness can be conquered. We should not be swayed by the senses, but they cannot be completely controlled. We should curb them rightly and properly according to the need of the occasion. Beauty is the subject of sight; we should fearlessly look at the beauty of objects. There is no room for shyness or fear. Only we should never entertain evil thoughts. Making the mind desireless, observe God's works of beauty. In this way the senses will be easily and naturally controlled and even in enjoying objects you will be reminded of God. If the outer senses are not held in check and if the mind be allowed to run after objects and be attached to them, our cycle of births and deaths will not come to an end. Objects of sense are things harmful. With Viveka (discrimination) as our charioteer, we will control the mind and will not allow the senses to go astray. With such a charioteer we reach the Vishnu-pada, the final abode, our real Home from which there is no return."

I believe devotion to guru means
when Annamalai Swami says "You are Self"
1. Invent ways to avoid this statement that by saying he was unique!
2. Repeat "I have not yet realized"
3. Keep quoting from various sources different statements ...

is it so ?

Or is to to "See" how I am Self, when i feel bound !! which is the way ?

Sri Tushnim,

Everybody wants to realise, that is the deepest desire of every spiritual aspirant. It is easy to say, I am Self. Everybody, deep within, definitely know that they are that supreme, that they are part of that Whole, and that they are not limited by any reason.

But, disciples do not go about saying I am Self because of Humility, As One knows within, what does it make by saying I am Self? The humility shines as as one recognises where one stands. That is the hallmark of a true disciple.

That submissiveness, that humility is what shines. Do the problems end permanently by declaring I am Self? What I gather the essence is that whenever you are troubled by dualities, you advise prominently that affirm that you are that Self, by such affirmations, one is able to transcend dualities and and slowly overcome the grip and hold of ones Mind of the Ego.

But, all this, has to be internal. The Job is not done by just saying I am Self. Because, if one continues to discern further, as Vasanas have not been extinguished. Mano Nasam has to occur

Meditation on the identity of the individual and the Lord, “I am He”, is more purifying than meditation which assumes a difference between them

Verse 9
By the power of meditation, devoid of thoughts, one is established in true Being, and this is supreme devotion

One can follow any method, but the Guru warns the disciple, the dangers of using Advaita in practice. It is a great potential for ones downfall.
