Dear Sri Hari,

True, the subtle point i am trying to bring here is to go even beyond the truth itself, of holding on to the knowledge that Truth is independent. :) But refuting the identity of truth to a particular group, aren't you giving them identity really? :) The very moment we refute something as false, aren't we giving that an identity? Truth simply is, without being affected. I hope you are getting what i am trying to convey. These are very subtle.

Here in India, there are some modern thinkers who call themselves Secular, but have become secular fundamentalists in the process. They go about talking about secular secular and secular and have become one of the most violently debating groups, even more than the groups they term as fundamentalists :) who are more acceptable and accomodative than the secular groups, such is the irony!

but anyway, all these are sundry matters.

I am the AthmA which is of the nature of eternal consciousness and which is the cause of the functioning of the mind, eye and all other organs, in the same way as the sun is the cause of the activities of all beings on this earth. But when not associated with the limiting adjuncts (in the form of the body, mind and sense-organs), I, am like space.

What is the sign of such a devotee?

When you see a man doing great works, you may know
that God's special power is manifested through him.

As long as a man associates himself with upadhis, so long he sees the manifold, but on attaining Perfect Knowledge he sees only one Consciousness everywhere.

The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna

Meditation differs according to the degree of advancement of the seekers. If one is fit for it, one might directly hold the thinker; and the thinker will automatically sink into his source, namely pure consciousness.

Sri Hari,

I share the same spirit as yours, that truth stands alone.

It would be interesting to note that Indian Constitution itself does not recognise Hinduism as a religion at all, it is still under debate, there are no conclusions as yet, how to describe this [religion] they are close to only describe it as "a way of life"

Only recently, since the invasions of mughals and Britishers, and few others, this name Hindu has been coined, infact, this path [hinduism] has existed without any identity no name. Even Sanathana Dharma too, was only brought into picture only recently so as to communicate the spirit of vEdiC way when the Hindu term was coined.

This has been existing since civilisation became into existence, all other religions are only children of this Truth and formed itself into a new religion, where as the father continues to exist without any identity.

Give presence to your pUjA altar or pUjA room by being there for some time consciously. Look into the pictures of all Gods intently, look into the eyes of all the Gods for some moments. Look at the form of the Gods. No need to interpret in terms of essence or jnyAnA, just look. Spend some quiet time with the Gods.
