Stray thought...

when we understand ourselves well, so the world will. The external world is just a reflection of what is within. That which is within is without.

A wonderful film song penned by Vaali -

unakkenna mele nindrai ooo nandhalaalaa,
unadhaanai paadugindren naan romba naalaa,

what is for you! you are standing on top, oh god (Nandalaala - Krishna).
I am singing (living) according to your commands, for a long time now!

thaai madiyil pirandhom, tamil madiyil valarndhom,
nadigarena malarndhom, naadagaththil kalandhom,

we were born in the lap of our mother, we grew up in the lap of Tamil,
we blossomed as actors , we became a part of the drama (of life)
(This world is nothing but a drama and we are all actors in it playing our parts)

aadaadha medai illai, podadha vesham illai,
sindhaadha kanneer illai, sirippukku panjam illai,

there is no stage where we have not danced, there is no act that we haven’t donned,
there is no tear that we haven’t shed, there has been no dearth of laughter.

kaal kondu aadum pillai, nool kondu aadum bommai,
un kaiyil andha noolaa nee sollu nandhalaalaa,

we humans, who are dancing with our legs, are mere puppets with strings,
oh god! (do) you hold those strings and make us dance to your tunes(?),

yaaraaro nanban endru emaandha nenjam undu,
poovenru mullai kandu puriyaamal nindren inru,
paal pola kallum undu niraththaale rendum ondru,
naan enna kallaa paalaa nee sollu nandhalaalaa,

we falsely believe many people to be our friends, and get cheated by them,
we see thorns as flowers and fail to comprehend (and stand confused),
both toddy(a liquor, associated with intoxication and evil) and milk
(associated with good, purity) are similar to look at,
am I toddy or milk, tell me oh god!

what a find Subramanian Sir, truly nice one! :) yes, the power of maya is unlimited. Other day Bharati Theertha Swamigal was saying in his talks, there is nothing impossible for Maya, such is its power. Here is the verse, which you have quoted:

svIya vashadali kOsalavanu ALidante ॥
mAye bommana binadavaDisi nammI jagava ।
kAyuvaLu tannicChe – Mankutimma ॥ 146 ॥

“Kaikeyi ruled the Kosala kingdom the way she wanted, with total independence because she amused the old king Dasharatha. Maya seems to be running our world as she pleases by amusing the creator.” – Mankutimma

“He created the illusion (Maya) so that he could amuse himself.
He made her (Maya) the mother of this world. He seems to be
busy running this world. Such is the nature of the creator.
He is the leader and we all follow him.
What is the difficulty in accepting this fact?” – Mankutimma

Somebody told me, David is someone like equivalent to King Janaka, He was a King too, his expressions are so profound, and Lamentations section were his expressions after a kingdom was destroyed.

Sir, I usually mention the chapter name below every quote, but ignored the numbers, but henceforth, i will provide the numbers as well.

Thanks to Subramanian Sir and Sri Ravi, it is indeed wonderful for ones like me to get an opportunity to derive the nectar of Tiruppaavai. Otherwise, it needs an extra effort from me who is not so well versed in tamil.
