Verse  881:

மண்ணில்நல்ல என்றெடுத்து
    மனத்தெழுந்த பெருமகிழ்ச்சி
உண்ணிறைந்த காதலினால்
    கண்ணருவி பாய்ந்தொழுக
அண்ணலார் தமைவினவித்
    திருப்பதிகம் அருள்செய்தார்
தண்ணறும்பூஞ் செங்கமலத்
    தாரணிந்த தமிழ்விரகர்.

The Adept of Tamizh, the wearer of a cool and fragrant
Garland of red-lotuses, hymned in grace
The divine decade beginning with the words
"Mannilnalla vannam"; by reason of the great gladness
That welled up in him and the love coursing full within,
His eyes rained tears; even thus he sang
Inquiring his father of the Merciful One.

Devaraja Mudaliar writes in his entry of 2nd Feb 1946
of Day by Day:

One Ananda Swami from Mount Abu, put the following
questions and received the answers:

Q:  The books say that the Purusha is angushta pramana.
What is meant by this?

Bhagavan: Evidently the books must be referring to the
upadhi in which the Purusha is manifesting.  They cannot
mean that the all pervasive Purusha is angushta pramana.

Q:  Is that Purusha in the heart?

Bhagavan:  You mean the physical heart.  It cannot be.
But the books describe a heart which is an inverted lotus
with a cavity inside and a flame in that cavity and all that.
In such a psychic heart [Heart], the Purusha may be said
to abide and the flame may be of that angushta pramana,
the size of a little finger.

[Bhagavan describes this Heart in Sad Darsanam, Supplement.
But He has described it to the devotees only on a few occasions
like this one.]

Once Devaraja Mudaliar was reading Siva Jnana Bodham
commentary of Nalla Swami Pillai.  He came across a sentence
in which the author challenges anyone to show in any purana
that Siva ook birth as an avatara anywhere.  Mudaliar then
asked Bhagavan whether it was not true that Siva was born
as a child to Vallalala Maharaja in Tiruvannamalai and Siva
even performed annual ceremonies to Maharaja.

Bhagavan then explained:

Siva was not born in any woman's womb even according
to that story.  When wife of Vallala Maharaja approached
Siva [ for the detailed stroy see Arunachala Puranam, Tamizh
verses with meaning.  Saiva Ellappa Navalar], Siva became
a child and the queen called Vallala and both came to lift
the child and hug.  Siva then disappeared, but with a promise
that He would perform annual ceremonies to him, after his
death, as a child.  Even today, there is one festival every year
in Arunachaleswarar temple to commemorate this ceremony.

Bhagavan further narrated a story from Tiru ViLaiyadal Puranam,
called Vriddha, Kumara, Bala Patalam, where Siva appeared
as an old man first, then a youth and then finally into a child.

Verse  2:

He is the most munificent One who,
to quell the three eternal impurities and to souse the soul in the flood of honey-like bliss,
came riding a charger.
Hail and adore Perunthurai where He is eternally there,
If you do so,
your forest-like birth will perish ? root and all.

Pandu Aaya Naanmarai:

The group consists only of 7 verses, perhaps it was 10 but three verses have been lost in time.

The group speaks of Siva-anubhavam for which there is no doubt.

Verse  1:

The four ancient Vedas cannot go near Him;
Vishnu and Brahma have not even seen Him.
The King Of Kokazhi holds me ? the base one -,
as His servitor and rules me.
O heart, say:
"Can I ever requite Him?"

consciousness, the Self of the form of consciousness alone is the Videha Mukta.

35.  The Self of the form of Being Awareness Bliss, the embodiment of Being Awareness Bliss alone is
the Videha Mukta.

36. Ever full of Brahman eternally, always abiding in oneself, the Self of the form of undivided whole
ever, alone is the Videha Mukta.

37.  The Self that is a solid mass of knowledge, the embodiment of solid mass of knowledge alone is the
Videha Mukta.

38.  For whom there is no body whatsoever, for whom there is no reminiscence of anything in the least,
the eternal Self, abiding in the Self alone is the Videha Mukta.

Verse  880:

இருந்தவத்தோர் அவர்முன்னே
    இணைமலர்க்கை குவித்தருளி
அருந்தவத்தீர் எனையறியாப்
    பருவத்தே எடுத்தாண்ட
பெருந்தகையெம் பெருமாட்டி
    உடனிருந்த தேயென்று
பொருந்துபுகழ்ப் புகலியின்மேல்
    திருப்பதிகம் போற்றிசைத்தார்.

The godly child folded his flowery hands
Before the great tapaswin, his father, and said:
"O rare tapaswin! Even when I was but a child that knew
Not aught, the great Lord of the Ark, enshrined
Beautifully with His great Consort, had graced me
With deliverance." It is thus he hymned his thoughts
In a divine decade on Pukali of fitting glory.

Verse  879:

    பாதங்கள் நினைவுற்றார்.

Sivapaadahrudayar neared him adoring;
The godly child hailed his father who was poised
In the way of tapas; as the godly child beheld
His father, his thoughts hovered over the divine feet
Of the Lord of the Ark-shrine who had done
Away with the fetters causing transmigration.

செப்புதலும் அதுகேட்டுத்
    திருமடத்தைச் சென்றெய்த
அப்பர்எழுந் தருளினார்
    எனக்கண்டோர் அடிவணங்கி
ஒப்பில்புகழ்ப் பிள்ளையார்
    தமக்கோகை உரைசெய்ய
எப்பொழுது வந்தருளிற்
    றென்றெதிரே எழுந்தருள.

Hearing them speak thus, he came to the divine Matam;
They that beheld the father of the godly child, fell
At his feet; when the peerless glorious divine child
"Was gladly apprised of his arrival, saying:
When did you come?", he came before him in grace.

அங்கணரைப் பணிந்துபோந்
    தருகணைந்தார் தமைவினவ
இங்கெம்மைக் கண்விடுத்த
    காழியார் இளவேறு
தங்குமிடம் திருநீற்றுத்
    தொண்டர்குழாஞ் சாருமிடம்
செங்கமலத் திருமடம்மற்
    றிதுவென்றே தெரிந்துரைத்தார்.

When after worship, he moved out and questioned
Those nearby about the godly child, they said:
"Here indeed is the Matam, verily a red-lotus resorted
To by the devotee-throngs of the holy ash; it is here
The Lion of Kaazhi, the opener of our eyes, resides."

The glorious Brahmin sojourned in some of the holy places
On his way and eventually reached the beauteous Madurai,
The capital of the Pandya who wore a garland of fresh
Margosa flowers, fragrant and honey-laden;
He adored at the roseate and flower-bedecked feet
Of the peerless Lord of Tiru Aalavaai in great ardor.

He adored the feet of the Lord enshrined in the Ark
With His Consort whose waist is slender like a hand-drum;

At all shrines of the Lord, on his way, and reached
The fecund country of the Pandya--
The wielder of the sharp spear.

He desired to depart from his city.

Tinctured with the hue of the venom.
