Verse  6:

ஈசனையே பணிந்துருகி
    இன்பமிகக் களிப்பெய்திப்
பேசினவாய் தழுதழுப்பக்
    கண்ணீரின் பெருந்தாரை
மாசிலா நீறழித்தங்
    கருவிதர மயிர்சிலிர்ப்பக்
கூசியே யுடல்கம்பித்
    திடுவார்மெய்க் குணமிக்கார்.

They hail the Lord alone, melt in devotion, and feeling
Exceedingly joyous, their very speech becomes incoherent;
The great flood of tears cascading down, washes
Away the flawless holy ash applied to their chests;
The hair on their bodies stands erect in thrilled ecstasy;
For ever modest and shy, their bodies are ever trembling;
They are full of virtue true.

Arunachala Siva.

Verse 5:

சங்கரனைச் சார்ந்தகதை
    தான்கேட்குந் தன்மையராய்
அங்கணனை மிகவிரும்பி
    அயலறியா அன்பினால்
கங்கைநதி மதியிதழி
    காதலிக்குந் திருமுடியார்
செங்கமல மலர்ப்பாதஞ்
    சேர்வதனுக் குரியார்கள்.

They will ever listen to the holy Lilas of Sankara;
Their love for the Merciful One is limitless; by reason
Of their love--un-be-known to others--, for the Lord
Who willingly wears on His beauteous crown the river Ganga,
The crescent moon and Konrai flowers, they are privileged
To reach the Lord?s feet, like unto the red lotus-flower.

Arunachala Siva.

Verse  4:

யாதானும் இவ்வுடம்பால்
    செய்வினைகள் ஏறுயர்த்தார்
பாதார விந்தத்தின்
    பாலாக எனும்பரிவால்
காதார்வெண் குழையவர்க்காம்
    பணிசெய்வார் கருக்குழியில்
போதார்கள் அவர்புகழ்க்குப்
    புவனமெலாம் போதாவால்.

'Whatever acts the body does, let them be invested
With the competency to reach the lotus-feet of the Lord whose
Flag sports the Bull.' With this, their cherished ideal,
They render their service to the Lord whose ear is decked
With a white Kuzhai; they will not slip
Into uterus--the pit of transmigration;
The whole world is no match for their glory.

Verse  3:

அங்கணனை அடியாரை
    ஆராத காதலினால்
பொங்கிவரும் உவகையுடன்
    தாம்விரும்பிப் பூசிப்பார்
பங்கயமா மலர்மேலான்
    பாம்பணையான் என்றிவர்கள்
தங்களுக்கும் சார்வரிய
    சரண்சாருந் தவமுடையார்.

They will, in soaring joy and insatiable devotion, render
Willing pooja to the Merciful One and His devotees;
They possess such tapas which links them to the feet
Unattainable even by Brahma throaned on Lotus
And Vishnu whose bed is the Snake.

Verse 2:

தாவரிய அன்பினால்
    சம்புவினை எவ்விடத்தும்
யாவர்களும் அர்ச்சிக்கும்
    படிகண்டால் இனிதுவந்து
பாவனையால் நோக்கினால்
    பலர்காணப் பயன்பெறுவார்
மேவரிய அன்பினால்
    மேலவர்க்கும் மேலானார்.

When they happen to witness anywhere the flawless pooja
Unto Sambu performed by devotees, whoever they be--,
They gain at once the sat-bhaavana and gracious look
Of such worshippers in the presence of many;
By reason of their rare love and devotion, they are
Loftier than the loftiest.

Arunachala Siva.

Verse  158:

It (your Self) is free of the states of awareness and forgetting, abiding as all embracing
pure consciousness. Like the ether, it contains all things (yet is not touched by them).
Granting its grace to the jiva, it is like sugar, feeding it with the sweetness of its own
bliss.  To such a one do these three, (i.e. nature as the jiva, form as the jiva, and the form as the Self , mentioned in the previous verse) belong.

The Self is compared to sugar, because the nature of sugar is itself sweetness. Just
as all things made out of sugar taste sweet, all experiences are founded upon the bliss of the Self, whose nature is bliss.  Thus the Self imparts its bliss to itself, in the form of the jiva.

You make all kinds of sweets with various ingredients and in various shapes and they
all taste sweet because there is sugar in all of them and sweetness is the nature of the sugar. In the same way all experiences and the absence of them contain the illumination which is the nature of the Self.  Without the Self they cannot be experienced, just as without sugar not one of the articles you make can taste sweet.

Tirupporur Chidambara Swamigal (TCS) explains the three terms mentioned at the end of the verse ((Verse 157) along the following lines: Supavam, Sanskrit Swabhava - own condition or state of being, refers to the nature of the individual soul or jiva, as being inherently subject to the principle of egoism, Aanava Malam, just as the inherent natujre of the crystal is to take on the colors of the things placed next to it.  Uruvam, Sanskrit Rupa - form, outward appearance, refers to the form or appearance of the jiva, as being
affected by the mind, senses, etc., whilst under the influence of Aanava Malam, just as the crystal is colored in various ways when under the influence of the objects placed next to it. Swarupam, Sanskrit Svarupa - nature, self nature refers to the Self or Sivam, the reality that underlies the individual self, but which cannot be known until veiling of Aanava Malam, is removed, just as the crystal, although intrinsically bright and clear, will not be known as such as long as it is colored by the objects standing next to it.

When the veiling is removed, the jiva is no more, and its substratum, the Self, remains, shining alone in its immaculate, non dual self nature, just as when the objects are removed, the crystal remains, shining clear and bright, unaffected by anything.

Verse 156:

The world appears to you as real, but annihilates you when it subsides.  Even
when you are told that it is inert, a mere consequence of actions, it still whirls you
about in delusion, like someone who has taken poison.  However, the real impediment
to true knowledge is your own defective understanding, the failure to know your true
Self.

When the individual self regards the world it perceives as real, and predicates its entire being upon that reality, as, for example, when it believes that its consciousness resides in the physical brain, it is entirely at the mercy of that fickle pseudo reality, which can do away with it at any moment through its myriad forms of transformation, decay and death. Until it is established in the Self, the jiva will view the absence of the world illusion as a terrifying void.

Verse  157:

It is your state of limited, conditional awareness, your nature is veiled by the obscuration of the ego.  However, like a bright, clear crystal, which holds the reflection of the objects but is not affected by them, your essential nature is not affected.  We have now explained to you your nature as the jiva, the form of that the jiva takes,
and your nature as the Self. Reflect carefully upon these matters.

Chapter 27:

1. Ribhu:  I shall tell you about the topic of mind full of true Brahman Bliss.
'This' is indeed bereft of cause and effect and full of perpetual bliss.

2.  I am indeed the undecaying bliss, the illuminator of the joy of the Self.  I am
of the joy of the Self.  I am of the form of the bliss of knowledge, ever full of the bliss
that is the ideal.

3.I am void of the bliss related to things and the illuminator of illusory joy.  I am Self
devoid of the bliss of mental modes and transcend the bliss of the thoughtless mode.

4.  I am the Self that illuminates the bliss of insentience. I am the essence of the bliss of the Self.  I am devoid of the bliss of the Self.  There is no any form of the bliss of the Self.

5.  I am devoid of the bliss of activity. I am the Self of the aspect of the bliss of activity.  I am devoid of the bliss due to qualities.  I am of the form of the concealed
happiness.

6. I am of the form of secret joy.  I am the great one of the bliss of action.  I am devoid of the bliss being the known.  I am without any hidden joy.

7. I of the form of perpetual joy.  I am the Self that is joyous bliss, the bliss of the world, the great bliss.  'This' is the great one transcending the world.

8. I am the bliss of difference, the bliss of consciousness, the bliss of well being, the non dual, the bliss of action, undiminishing bliss and devoid of the joy of thoughts.

9.  I am the bliss of being the all, the undeteriorating bliss, the bliss of consciousness,
undiminishing, the bliss of Being, the bliss of Beyond, the instantaneous bliss, highest than the highest.

10.  I am the bliss of speech, the great bliss, the bliss of Siva, the non dual, the bliss of the blessedness, devoid of the bliss of the beginning and the later.

Those who are capable of reciting the garland of ten verses composed on the Lord, adoring him in the second person, who resides in Pūntarai, which has excellent beauty, by Jnana Sambandhan of Srikazhi, situated in the sandy sea-shore garden to which the long sea in which sharks live, comes near will be rid of sins; They will be united with virtuous deeds.

Oh Lord! who has very old feet which the devotees come and praise in Pūntarāi where the lotus buds which grow in water in which the scabbard fish leap in the small sluices of the fields which have slit! Please tell me why that the base people of Jains and Buddhists talked had no substance in them (had no religious doctrines) (what they talked missed the mark).

Oh God! who comes riding on a big bull which you drive, and who resides in Pūntarāy where female monkeys along with the groups of big male monkeys eat the fruits that are found in the trees in the gardens full of fruit-trees.
Please tell me the reason for destroying the prowess of the arakkaṉ and conferring on him the gain of your grace.
