Verse  7:

கண்ணி னயலே கண்ணொன் றுடையார் கழலுன்னி
எண்ணுந் தனையு மடியா ரேத்த வருள்செய்வார்
உண்ணின் றுருக வுகவை தருவா ரூர்போலும்
பண்ணின் மொழியார் பாட லோவாப் பாசூரே.

Siva has one frontal eye by the side of the eyes in the face. He will grant his grace when his devotees praise him as long as they meditate on him, thinking of his feet.
The place of Siva who grants joy for the heart to melt always is Pasur where the singing of the ladies who speak sweet words like melody-types, never cease.

Verse  6:

கானின் றதிரக் கனல்வாய் நாகங் கச்சாகத்
தோலொன் றுடையார் விடையார் தம்மைத் தொழுவார்கள்
மால்கொண் டோட மையல் தீர்ப்பா ரூர்போலும்
பால்வெண் மதிதோய் மாடஞ் சூழ்ந்த பாசூரே.

The feet to resound as drum in dancing, Siva has a skin and a cobra with the vehemence of its poison, as a belt. He has a bull. The place of the god who removes the infatuation of love of those who worship him run away with desire, is Pasur surrounded by storeys on which the white moon as white as milk seems to come into contact.

ஆடற் புரியு மைவா யரவொன் றரைச்சாத்தும்
சேடச் செல்வர் சிந்தையு ளென்றும் பிரியாதார்
வாடற் றலையிற் பலிதேர் கையா ரூர்போலும்
பாடற் குயில்கள் பயில்பூஞ் சோலைப் பாசூரே.

He wealthy god who ties a dancing cobra of five hoods. He never leaves the thoughts of his devotees. The place of the god who goes receiving alms in the dried skull.
is Pasur which has flower-gardens in which the Indian cuckoos which sing sweetly are crowded.

பொங்கா டரவும் புனலுஞ் சடைமேற் பொலிவெய்தக்
கொங்கார் கொன்றை சூடியென் னுள்ளங் குளிர்வித்தார்
தங்கா தலியுந் தாமும் வாழு மூர்போலும்
பைங்கான் முல்லை பல்லரும் பீனும் பாசூரே.

Siva made my heart completely satisfied wearing fragrant Koṉṟai and the angry, dancing cobra and water to shine on the matted locks, the place where Siva and his wife dwell, is Pasur where the fertile creeper of Arabian jasmine puts forth buds like teeth.

கையாற் றொழுது தலைசாய்த் துள்ளங் கசிவார்கண்
மெய்யார் குறையுந் துயருந் தீர்க்கும் விகிர்தனார்
நெய்யா டுதலஞ் சுடையார் நிலாவு மூர்போலும்
பைவாய் நாகங் கோடலீனும் பாசூரே.

Siva is different from the world and removes the mental sufferings and bodily defects of those whose hearts melt, and who worship him with joined hands and bow their heads in reverence. He bathes in the five products of the cow beginning from ghee the place where he stays is Pasur where the white species of Malabar glory lily put forth flowers resembling the cobra's hood.

பேரும் பொழுதும் பெயரும் பொழுதும் பெம்மானென்
றாருந் தனையு மடியா ரேத்த வருள்செய்வார்
ஊரு மரவ முடையார் வாழு மூர்போலும்
பாரின் மிசையார் பாட லோவாப் பாசூரே.

Siva grants his grace when his devotees praised him to the full satisfaction of their minds as the god of greatness, at both times when they move from their places and return to them. Pasur is the place where Siva who has a crawling cobra, dwells and here the songs of the people of this world do not cease.

Verse 1:

சிந்தை யிடையார் தலையின் மிசையார் செஞ்சொல்லார்
வந்து மாலை வைகும் போழ்தென் மனத்துள்ளார்
மைந்தா மணாளா வென்ன மகிழ்வா ரூர்போலும்
பைந்தண் மாதவி சோலை சூழ்ந்த பாசூரே.

Siva is in my thought.  He is on my head. He is in my words spoken in their direct primary significance. When the evening passes he comes and stays in my mind, Pasur which is surrounded by gardens, in which the common delight of the wood which is cool and evergreen grows luxuriantly is the place of Siva who rejoices in being praised as the strong youth!, the bridegroom of Uma!

22. I am Brahman. I am eternal.  I am peaceful. I am the supreme.  I am without qualities.  I am without desire. I am without parts -  this should always be remembered.

23. I am the Self.  There is no doubt about this. I am the one, undivided essence. Thus realizing 'That' uninterruptedly, the supreme self should me meditated upon.

24. Even as this is an utterance of experience, so it is to be experienced always.
The utterance in the beginning and the second one should be remembered as statements of practice.

25. The third is 'tat tvam asi' (That thou art) and in the standard interpretation of it the three words tat (That), tvam (you); asi are defined thus:

26. The import of the word 'That' is Isvara, the Lord. The meaning of the word 'tvam'
is the individual soul.  The significance of the word 'asi' is unification - the state of one undivided essence.

27.  Of the dual mode, witness mode, and the undivided mode, the undivided is
is Existence Consciousness Bliss.  That alone are you.  Be certain of that.

28. You are Brahman.   There is no doubt of this.  You are, indeed, the undiminishing
awareness.  You, are indeed, Being Awareness Bliss.  You are, indeed, undivided certitude.

29.  If it is thus said by the Guru, he is indeed the supreme Guru.  The ideal disciple
achieving certainty that I am Brahman becomes the supreme self.

30.  No other is the Guru, no other disciple.  You are Brahman, the supreme Guru.
He who can initiate one into all the Mantras is the Guru; He is the supreme Guru.

21. (which was left behind, by oversight.)   I am Brahman, just consciousness,
the embodiment of Being Awareness Bliss.  Such should be the bearing after hearing
the great aphorism 'I am Brahman.'.

We know that Arunachala will devour us so there is a dance between us:  We take two steps forward then hastily one step back after realizing how hot the lave of grace burns. And so it should be because we would splinter into a thousand pieces if confronted directly with its naked eminence.

(Arunachala!) To stand opposed to your devotees, as if you raised the flag of battle,
to kill them without killing, is your firm resolve. Having married you, how will I survive
(after that person, an individual soul like the rest, and not die)?  (Verse 24 of Arunachala Akshara Mana Malai, a detailed commentary by Mukavai Kanna Muruganar. Translated by Robert Butler.)

Luckily for us, kindness is the second nature of Arunachala. The myth of Parvati who merges with Arunachala Siva. indicates to us that masculine dominion is softened with feminine grace and compassion.  Joined as one, Ardha Narishwara, a perfect expression. of that elusive fullness we seek within us.  It is there before us as sing
Arunachala's praise.  Arunachala's mysterious action in the cave of our hearts opens
us up so that we may see we are truly joined in one heart beat.

(The name Ardha Nariswara literally means 'The Lord who is half woman.')
This form of Lord symbolizes the unity of opposites; the synthesis of Purusha
and Prakrti).

Lalla the Kashmiri woman poet and mystic of the 14th century, wrote in one of her vakhs (sayings):

Whatever my hands did was worship,
Whatever my tongue shaped was prayer.
This was Shiva's secret teaching:
I wore it and it became my skin.

Our enemy is forgetfulness. Everything we do should be done consciously, here, now.
All our devotion, all our hours of silent meditation are for one purpose: to remember.
It is of the utmost importance to gather our thoughts into one continuous stream of unbroken awareness.  It is here Bhagavan's Grace is indispensable. 

Arthur Osborne wrote in his autobiography:

'The spacious theory that Bhagavan was not a Guru had simply evaporated in the radiance of His Grace. Moreover, I now perceived that, far from His teachings not being practical guidance, it was exclusively that. I observed that He shunned theoretical explanations and kept turning the questioner to practical considerations of
Sadhana, of the path to be followed. It was that and only that He was here to teach!'

ஊழி யாய பாரி லோங்கு முயர்செல்வக்
காழி யீசன் கழலே பேணுஞ் சம்பந்தன்
றாழு மனத்தா லுரைத்த தமிழ்க ளிவைவல்லார்
வாழி நீங்கா வானோ ருலகின் மகிழ்வாரே.

Sambandhan, who cherishes with regard only the feet of Siva in Sirkazhi, having indestructible wealth, which floated above the floods of the deluge in this world which is destroyed at the end of the eon, those who are able to say the Tamizh verses composed with a mind engrossed in God, will dwell in heaven which they will not leave.

அஞ்சி யல்லல் மொழிந்து திரிவா ரமணாதர்
கஞ்சி காலை யுண்பார்க் கரியான் கலிக்காழித்
தஞ்ச மாய தலைவன் றன்னை நினைவார்கள்
துஞ்ச லில்லா நல்ல வுலகம் பெறுவாரே.

The god who is difficult to be recognized by the ignorant Jains who speak distressing words behind the back, being afraid of saying them to the face and wander, and by the Buddhists who have their morning gruel in Sirkazhi of great bustle.  Those who think of god as their refuge, will attain the good world of bliss which does not know destruction.

மாணா யுலகங் கொண்ட மாலு மலரோனுங்
காணா வண்ண மெரியாய் நிமிர்ந்தான் கலிக்காழிப்
பூணார் முலையாள் பங்கத் தானைப் புகழ்ந்தேத்திக்
கோணா நெஞ்ச முடையார்க் கில்லைக் குற்றமே.

Vishnu who received the world as a gift in the form of a bachelor (from Mahabali) and Brahma, seated in the (lotus) flower, He who shot up as a column of fire so as not to be seen (by them) praising and worshipping the god who has on one half a lady who wears ornaments on her breasts. There will be no pain for those whose minds do not deviate from the path of virtue.

அரக்கன் முடிதோள் நெரிய வடர்த்தா னடியார்க்குக்
கரக்க கில்லா தருள்செய் பெருமான் கலிக்காழிப்
பரக்கும் புகழான் றன்னை யேத்திப் பணிவார்மேற்
பெருக்கு மின்பந் துன்ப மான பிணிபோமே.

God who pressed down to crush the heads and shoulders of demon (Ravaṇaṉ) and who grants his grace to his devotees without being able to conceal it, in Sirkazhi of great bustle, happiness will increase for people who praise and worship him whose fame spreads everywhere. Diseases which are the causes for sufferings will vanish.

புயலார் பூமி நாம மோதிப் புகழ்மல்கக்
கயலார் கண்ணார் பண்ணா ரொலிசெய் கலிக்காழிப்
பயில்வான் றன்னைப் பத்தி யாரத் தொழுதேத்த
முயல்வார் தம்மேல் வெம்மைக் கூற்ற முடுகாதே.

Having repeated the names of God in the world fed by rain, in Sirkazhi, of great bustle where the ladies whose eyes are comparable to the carp fish produce the sound of music to spread the fame of god. On those who try to worship and praise the god who is permanent so that their devotion may become satisfactory, the cruel god of death will not hasten (to snatch their lives).
