General Discussion / Re: Being-Evolution
« on: August 13, 2008, 03:19:37 PM »
Dear DRPVSSN Raju, there is only Being and there is
no evolution, sustenance or dissolution.  It is all
products of the mind, Maya.  Please see Maandukya
Upanishad and Gaudapada's Karika, the famous
verse commentary on the Upanishad.

General Discussion / Re: SECRET OFLIFE !
« on: August 13, 2008, 03:16:51 PM »
Dear Sankar, once you start living in the present second,
the next second will hold no interest for you, hence it is
not a secret.

General Discussion / Re: SILENCE - THE POWER OF SILENCE
« on: August 13, 2008, 03:14:51 PM »
Dear Sankar,  Silence is when I stop writing posts.  That way,
there was a forced silence for me for the past 12 days and
I could read Guru Vachaka Kovai and Ramana Pada Malai.
No regrets.

General Discussion / Re: Truth-Nothingness
« on: August 13, 2008, 03:08:32 PM »
Dear DRPVSSN Raju,  Being and non-being are the same!
Buddha called it Maha-Sunya and Sankara called it
Maha-Ananda.  The dual thoughts are only for those
who have not found the goal.  Being and nonbeing are
the two sides of the same coin.

General Discussion / Re: THE MORE WE STUDY THE LESS WE KNOW
« on: August 13, 2008, 02:58:42 PM »
Dear Sankar and others,  When one starts unlearning,
the Truth will shine.  Any amount of book knowledge
will not help.  In Viveka Choodamani, Sankara speaks
about 'three sticking'.  The sticking to the body, the
sticking to wife, children and family and the sticking
to books!  This Eeashana thrayam should go.

General Discussion / Re: SEEK THE TRUTH IN REALITY
« on: August 13, 2008, 02:44:27 PM »
Dear DPRSSN Raju, Nice reply.  There is no seeking of
Truth or Reality, because it is within.  All that we have
to do is to remove the enucmbrances.  The room's space
does not grow, it is the same.  We only remove the
encumbrances, to see that there is space!

General Discussion / Re: SURRENDER IS THE ONLY WAY TO SELF REALISATION
« on: August 13, 2008, 02:40:25 PM »
Dear srkudai,  Thanks for your nice post.  Atma Samarpana
or Self-Surrender is no dual.  There is no surrenderer and
surrendered.  Incidentally, I have not still replied to your
whether dreams can be altered? question!

General Discussion / Re: Anyone have info about Michael Langford?
« on: August 13, 2008, 02:30:33 PM »
Dear nonduel,  I have not said that Michael Langford has said
anything contrary to what Bhagavan said.  I merely said that
he is rephrasing and paraphrasing Bhagavan's teachings, as
many others have done.  In this context,  David Godman,
Sri Sadhu Om have also elaborated on Bhagavan, but with
new insights.  I have already written in some other post,
that, Who am I? is alone adequate for any seeker.  David
also has said that for a true 'sadhak', Who am I? will alone
do and if he wants only elaboration, he has to read others.

General Discussion / Re: SURRENDER IS THE ONLY WAY TO SELF REALISATION
« on: August 13, 2008, 02:24:11 PM »
Dear Sankar, Nonduel and PKSSVN Raju are both correct.
Pedantics and semantics will take us nowhere.  Surrender
or self-enquiry will help you only when there is limitless
Grace of the Guru.  All book knowledge is a waste, beyond
certain point and one has to 'unlearn' to realize the Self.

Dear Vladimir and everyone,  all these thorn discussions are
futile.  There is no thorn.  We 'think' that there is a thorn,
and we 'think' some other thorn will remove it.

General Discussion / Re: SELF REALISATION
« on: August 13, 2008, 02:12:20 PM »
Dear Sankar, all that you have listed out are only aids
to realization and not realization itslef.  In self-
realization, there is no listing, no questioning no
answering. Bhagavan answered questions of everyone
because, He had abundant Grace towards all those
chaps.

General Discussion / Re: HOW TO KILL THE MIND
« on: August 13, 2008, 02:08:50 PM »
Dear everyone,  Thoughtless state is the mindless state.
With a dead mind, where there is no possibility

Dear everyone, thoughtless state is the mindless state.
The dead mind produces no thoughts and at that point
of time, you are the Self.

General Discussion / Re: STAY AT ASHRAM
« on: August 13, 2008, 02:05:14 PM »
Dear Sankar and others, I have already given details regarding
stay in the Ashram, to various seekers, under "Asharam" head
of the forum.  Please look into that.

General Discussion / Re: OUR BODY
« on: August 13, 2008, 02:03:01 PM »
Dear Kannan05, we are not going anywhere.  More particularly,  our soul is not going or coming anywhere.  When the body goes, it is not the body which is going, but the mind and prana, with all its 'vasanas'.  We are here ever present, shining with effulgence.

Arunachala Siva.

Dear Kannan05  and others, we are not going anywhere.
The soul is not definitely going anywhere.   When we die,
only our mind and prana and all the vasanas are going to
take a new birth.  We are ever present, shining with
effulgence.

General Discussion / Re: WHAT IS RESEARCH ?
« on: August 13, 2008, 01:56:38 PM »
Dear Sankar and others,

Research is searching outside, for something unknown, through
books, lab equipments etc.,  This is fruitless, without searching
the known, inside.  If you know the Heart, you know everything
in the world.  That is how Bhagavan was able to explain the
theory of relativity to a questioner, who was having a lot of
book knowledge!

Arunachala Siva.
