31.  You are Brahman, the 'I'.  There is no doubt of this.  This is Brahman indeed.
There is no doubt of this.  All is mind. There is no doubt of this.  All is Brahman.
There is no uncertainty in this.

32. As it shines apart from Brahman, it is illusion.  All is illusion from top to bottom.
There is neither body nor the five elements nor the mind, being only illusory.

33.  Not there is the existence of the intellect or the senses.  Nor there is liberation,
being just Brahman. There can be not a moment of uncertainty, because of which
thought is naught.

34.  Know that egoism is unreal; that being so conceit is naught. Nor there is
thought or remembrance and therefore no ageing.  There is no doubt of this.

35. If vital air is there, there is life.  The sense of smell being, smell, there is.
If there be eyes, there are beings. Ears being, hearing exists.

36.  If skin exists, there is the presence of touch. If tongue exists, there is the
ability to taste.  If there is individual, there is life.  If there are feet, there is walking.

37.  If there are hands, there is action.  If there is a creator, there is the possibility
of creation.  If there is something to be protected, there is the protector Vishnu.
If there is something to be devoured, there is the devourer, Siva.

38.  All is Brahman. There is no doubt of this.  All is indeed Brahman alone.
If there is something to be worshipped then there is worship.  If there is something
to be illumined, there is the illuminator Siva.

Tax-free endowments, adored him and said:

When the garlanded king heard that he was a sacred
Servitor of his Lord, he said: "Woe is me that did
Not know him to be a devotee of the Lord of Devas!"
I plied him, alas, to give battle in the fierce war-front;
Quaking with fear, the king entreated Paranjyoti
Thus: "O my lord, forgive my sin."

These he brought before his royal liege.

Points to the loving devotion of Siva's ankleted feet;

For the feet of the Lord who kicked Death to death.

Doubts Dispelled:

As I was hardly ever away from Bhagavan's proximity, listening to His answers
to the questions raised by the devotees would clear my doubts as well.  In addition,
they taught me many new things.  Well, I would encounter difficulty in understanding
some statement or idea found in the Sastras. While waiting for the right moment to raise the query, it would happen that another devotee would raise the same doubt to
Bhagavan for explanation and, Bhagavan's reply to him would put both our minds
at rest.  This, indeed, is dvaiva gathi (divine dispensation).  A classic example is the
case of King Janaka mentioned in Yoga Vasishtam.  There it is said, that this king
acquired spiritual wisdom just by listening to the discussions between siddhas
(sages).  All his doubts thus cleared, Janaka is said to have attained experience
of the Self.

Vedantic texts such as Vedanta Chudamani speak of Viveka Gathi, Viraktha Gathi,
and Daiva Gathi.  Of these, the first one is the path (gathi) of attaining Jnana by
becoming a disciple of a Sadguru, and through studying and assimilating what is
said in the various texts.  Jnana that comes like a flash of lightning, without
any effort or favorable circumstances, is the second one.  Gautama Buddha,
the Tamizh saint Pattinathar, and our Bhagavan belong to the second kind.
A solemn declaration made in Yoga Vasishtam is 'True knowledge will come to
you as easily as a fruit dropping right into your palm from the sky above.'
The third type -- someone goes to visit a sage without any volition or
a specific desire to get enlightenment. At that moment, the guru happens to be
instructing his disciples through answers to their serious queries.  The visitor,
on hearing the guru's words, though not addressed to him, gets enlightened
and becomes a Jnani.  This happens only as a result of merits earned through
virtuous deeds in his earlier births.  It is like a bulb lighting up instantly
when a current of electricity flows into it when a switch is turned on.  This mode
of attaining Jnana is daiva gath. Any one of three dispensations will chance upon one
only by virtue of one's righteous deeds in several births.  This is affirmed in several
scriptural texts.

23. Not this, not this, ever not this. Neither you, nor I' - meditate thus.   All is Brahman
- there is no doubt of this.  All knowledge is naught.

24.  Everything is a fabricated structure of your words and meanings.  The fear of
all the worlds is naught. All the holy waters are not true; neither are all the temples.

25.  All being consciousness, the name all never exists.
Forsaking all forms of the certitude 'all is Brahman.'

26. Brahman is all and its reality.  The world and its phenomena do not exist.  Renounce the remebrance of the phenomenal and take hold of the recollection
of Brahman.

27.  Thereafter forsaking even that be established in your own state.  Renouncing
the stable state be the Self alone.

28. Renouncing even the renunciation, ever forsake the idea of differentiation.
Being enveloped by yourself, attain yourself by yourself.

30.  'All' is the thought.  There is no doubt of this. 'All' is naught.  There is no doubt
of this.  'All' is trifling.  There is no doubt of this. 'All' is illusion.  There is no doubt of
this.

29.  What the finger points out as 'this' is only lifeless being dead. This saying is to be
perceived through the sacred writings and utterances.
