Interestingly, while in Skandasramam, my sister remarked that the energy in the Cave began vibrating in a horizontal manner. In the Cave I remarked that the energy seemed to start vibrating in a vertical manner.  In Virupaksha Cave, our experiences reversed with my sister feeling the energy vibrating horizontally, with blue light, and myself horizontally.  Except in these two instances, the force field vibrated in all directions, simultaneously.

We remained in this force field for two days.  As we drove away from Arunachala and back to Chennai, the force field gradually dissipated.

Bhagavan Sri Ramana sang a song about Arunachala in His Eight Stanzas to Sri Arunachala, verse one:

Look, oh, great wonder!  There it stands as if insentient. Mysterious is the way it works, beyond all human understanding. From my unthinking childhood the immensity of Arunachala had shone in my awareness, but even when I learned from someone that it was only Tiruvannamalai, I did not realize its meaning.  When it stilled my mind and drew me to itself, and I came near, I saw that it was the Immovable, stillness absolute.

For thirty five years I had been visiting Tiruvannamalai solely for Sri Ramana and
Sri Ramanasramam.  I came to sit in Sri Ramana's shrine and to absorb Sri Ramana's teachings. I paid little attention to the Hill.  It is true that I had performed many a pradakshina around Arunachala.  However, I did this, mainly because Sri Ramana highly recommended people to do it.

By luring me, again and again, as I worked on the Sri Ramana's book, and by the good fortune of having a sister whose presence was required, I eventually had Arunachala's darshan. As Sri Ramana sang,

The mountain is mysterious and mysterious in the way it works. It is not just an insentient pile of earth and rocks.  It is Lord Siva, the One Self, standing there in all its glory for those who are given eyes to see.

At times seekers ask the question: 'How does the Sage gave instruction?  It is from the state of ignorance?' If this were so, the mind would not have been dissolved, the threefold differentiation  of the knower, knowledge, and the known could not have been merged. So what would the Sage be able to give you?  Where could He lead you?
But there is a stage where this question does not arise.  It is the body that is the obstacle to Supreme Knowledge?  Is there even a question of whether the body exists or not?  At a certain level this question is simply not there. On the plane where this question arises, one is not in the state of pure Being, and one thinks question can be raised and also replied to. But the answer lies where there is no such thing as questioning and answering where there are no 'others', no divisions -- only the Self,
Sri Ramana, Arunachala.

Theories are but ways of putting words together.  Theories are neither right or wrong.
They are attempts to explain the inexplicable.  The theory does not matter half so much as the way it is being tested, put into practice.  Sincerity, earnestness, and full concentration are what counts, not the theory itself.

After a few days in Chennai, we drove to Tiruvannamalai.  For the first two hours of the drive, our intense discussions continued.  Back and forth our presuppositions flew, often wrestling like two mad monsters!.

At once moment, about five or so kilometers from Arunachala, we simultaneously looked up and, there it was.  Arunachala, looming auspiciously through the front windshield, towering right in front seen it on numerous occasions, seen it exclusively as a mountain.

We both went dead silent.  The silence hung thick in the air for a few minutes.  Then, I said to my sister, 'Do you feel that?' She replied, force field all around me.  The silence is overpowering.'  I said, 'I feel pulsing through it.  It is like liquid, tangible Consciousness.'  I really cannot come up with a physical example that accurately depicts this force field.

We drove to the Sri Ramana Asramam. The force field was still palpably felt.  It was so strong and so tangible that it was easily felt wherever we went.  It was as though we had entered into the aura of Arunachala and the experience continued.  The incredible thunderous silence continued.

We went into Sri Ramana's Shrine and it was there.  It was there in the Mother's Temple. It was there in the accommodation office.  Then we walked up to the Caves
where Sri Ramana had spent twenty three years.  We entered the Virupaksha Cave and it was there. We entered Skandasramam and it was there.  The force field and silence ever present, a physical Presence.

after death they will dwell in heaven happily.

Without listening to the mean words of the Jains who are full of dirt which issues a very offensive smell and Buddhists who cover their bodies with a cloth soaked in myrtle-dye, devotees! Approach Siva who is the embodiment of all virtues.
uttering the Mantras of Sivāya having restrained the senses. Those who praise Siva who dwelt with pleasure in Nālūr Mayāṉam will enjoy happiness only.

Siva has the eminence of not being able to be seen by Vishnu and Brahma, who has four faces, as he assumed the form of a growing fire, though they searched for its top and bottom in the sky and the underworld. We shall pay homage to the feet of our Siva who bathes in ghee along with milk and who dwells in Nālūr Mayāṉam and who is himself the four Vēdas and the six Aṅkams.

Pressing firmly with a single toe, the demon who had ten heads, crushing him under the mountain, Siva granted him long life in addition to a sword. Sufferings will not come near those who fix their thoughts on the feet of my father in Nālūr Mayāṉam where the sound of conch never ceases during times of worship.
[conch blown during times of worship is one of rituals in temples;]

Siva became great by destroying Manmatha, long ago by the speed of the fire which spread from his frontal eye. He has a half in which a lady has spread herself.
Sufferings will not happen to those who meditate upon Nālūr Mayāṉam where people who are friendly towards all, live.

Siva has a frontal eye.  The supreme being, as the light divine who dances singing Vēdas which are full of music, having fire as the dancing stage. All those who do not approach Nālūr Mayāṉam of Siva, who shot an arrow on the cities of enemies, do not approach the path of virtue.

Siva has a neck resembling the sapphire on account of the poison stationed there.
He has a skull, holds a battle-axe.  He has  growing matted locks in which there is a crescent moon.  He has as a half a lady very friendly to him. Happiness will reach those who praise Siva as our master in Nālūr Mayāṉam which is surrounded on all sides by gardens which have abundant honey.

About Nālūr Mayāṉam which good people worship with joined hands and praise and which is the abode of Siva, who gave completely all the moral instructions on that distant day to four sages of desirable fame, sitting under the shade of Kallāl tree, by his great grace. All those who do not speak about that shrine are those who do not tread the ancient religion of Saivam.

Siva who wears a crescent moon on his head will dance beautifully in the cremation ground surrounded on all sides by Bhutams, according to the sound created by drum and conch, sins will not hold in their grip eminent people who praise Nālūr Mayāṉam where annual festivals which are desired earnestly never cease;

Siva who has red matted locks, on which are spread a cobra as big as the mountain which crawls, on one side, cool crescent moon and Datura flowers, who wears on his chest a white sacred thread, rebirth will not come at close quarters with those in whose minds love is increasing, thinking of the feet of Siva who is in Nālūr Mayāṉam.

Chapter 32:

1. Ribhu: I shall reiterate upon the renunciation of the unreal and, indeed, certainty in Brahman too.  Just by hearing this, man becomes liberated at once.

2. The existence of thought force, the existence of mind, the existence of Brahman,
the existence of any different state -- are all illusory.  There is no doubt of this. I am only Brahman.  There is no uncertainty about this.

3. The existence of body, the existence of signs, the existence of thoughts, the existence of the undecaying state are all illusory.  There is no doubt of this.  I am only Brahman.  There is no doubt of this.

4.  The seen, the seeing, the seer, the doer, the inspirer of action, and the deed, -- are all illusory.  There is no doubt of this. I am only Brahman - There is no uncertainty about this.

5.  Oneness, double, separateness, concepts such as existence and non existence -- are all illusory.  There is no doubt of this, I am only Brahman.  There is no uncertainty about this.

6.  Variance in the texts, variance in the Vedas, the different concepts of liberation -are all illusory. There is no doubt of this.  I am only Brahman.  There is no uncertainty
about this.

7. The distinctions of species, the variance of caste, definitions of purity and impurity
-- are all illusory.  There is no doubt of this. I am only Brahman.  There is no uncertainty about this.

8. The mode of undivided form, the supreme and undivided essence, -- are all illusory.
There is no doubt of this.  I am only Brahman. There is no uncertainty about this.

9.  Contradictory thoughts of high and the low and opposing thoughts on virtue and sin -- are all illusory.  There is no doubt of this. I am only Brahman.  There is no uncertainty about this.

10.  The duality of the imaginary and the non imaginary, the concepts of mental imagery -- are all illusory.  There is no doubt of this. I am only Brahman. There is no uncertainty about this.
