I will serve no other Lord:  continues...

42. I am not ignorant of the fact that all the gods who appear to be many are only one, but although I know this, out of all those gods my mind will only desire and flow towards Siva-Ramana.

43. Irrespective of what I may gain through other people in any of the worlds, from now on I will not consent in my mind, even slightly, to enter into the state of slavery to anyone else except my Lord.

44. Without getting sidetracked, my mind remains firmly established in the Self, the supreme of supremes, as nothing but the Self.  As a result my love flows abundantly only towards the feet of my Lord that shine as supreme bliss.  I will not entertain any love towards anything else.

45.  My Guru, Siva-Ramana, dispelled the twin attachments of 'I' and 'mine', and by doing so abolished the affliction of birth, becoming my own Swarupa that shines as the light of consciousness. Now that I have taken up personal service to my Lord's feet of grace, there is no possibility that I will ever become slave to another.

46.  My Lord, who manifested in this world and ruled over me established in my heart the kingdom of infinitely spacious grace, enabling me to experience Swarupa, the divine silence whose very nature is happiness.  For what purpose I now resort to others uttering words of flattery?

47.  The excellent grace that my Lord granted to me, the lowest dog, was the supreme expanse of consciousness in which I could see no separate object to desire.
I will take refuge only in my Lord, my own Self, He who bestowed this lofty state on this dog. I will not run after anyone else, seeking anything else.

concluded.

Sambandhan, who cherishes with regard only the feet of Siva in Sirkazhi, having indestructible wealth, which floated above the floods of the deluge in this world which is destroyed at the end of the eon. Those who are able to say the Tamizh verses composed with a mind engrossed in God, will dwell in heaven which they will not leave.

Padigam on Sirkazhi completed.

The god who is difficult to be recognized by the ignorant Jains, who speak distressing words behind the back, being afraid of saying them to the face and wander, and by the Buddhists who have their morning gruel, in Sirkazhi of great bustle.  Those who think of god as their refuge, will attain the good world of bliss which does not know destruction.

Vishnu who received the world as a gift in the form of a bachelor (from Mahabali) and the Brahma, seated in the (lotus) flower, to them He who shot up as a column of fire so as not to be seen (by them) praising and worshipping the god who has on one half a lady who wears ornaments on her breasts. There will be no pain for those whose minds do not deviate from the path of virtue.

The God who pressed down to crush the heads and shoulders of demon (Raavaṇaṉ) and who grants his grace to his devotees without being able to conceal it, in Sirkazhi of great bustle, happiness will increase for people who praise and worship him whose fame spreads everywhere. Diseases which are the causes for sufferings will vanish.

Having repeated the names of God in the world fed by rain, in Sirkazhi, of great bustle where the ladies whose eyes are comparable to the carp fish produce the sound of music to spread the fame of god, on those who try to worship and praise the god who is permanent so that their devotion may become satisfactory, the cruel god of death will not hasten (to snatch their lives).

Having drunk the sweet honey in the parks where the slow-moving southern breeze is staying, in Sirkazhi of great bustle where the bees having lines on them hum like music as they have come into contact with fragrance, those devotees who meditate upon god praising him, Most exalted one who bestows his grace, to remove all bondage, are those who stand firmly in the path of righteousness.

In this world where the sun moves, in Sirkazhi of great bustle where the celestial beings and inhabitants of this world desire to gather, having in their minds the eminent service to god, thinking of him who gave the eminent works of Vedas which is memorized by hearing (and not written), wake up from your sleep! People of this world! All the sufferings will go away without fail.

To enter into the houses, in Sirkazhi of great bustle where the waves of the roaring sea rise to push the mature coral and mature pearls. Having cherished with love the god as "one who has a skin of wet with the blood of an elephant whose trunk is like the palmyra! The great person!"  the devotees who are able think him as such, are people having good minds.

When the tender bees with lines on their bodies hum like music in the gardens which are maintained in perfect condition.  In Sirkazhi of great bustle where the balmy southern breeze comes in contact with the buds of fragrance just before they unfold their petals. Having praised with the aid of their virtue done in previous births the god as one who has dressed the matted locks as a crown! The first cause! (The origin of all things!) there will be no anxiety and suffering for those who worship his feet with their hands.

Having been brought by the ships the conches of the sea which move slowly, the waves of the sea from which clouds draw their water. In Sirkazhi, of great bustle where they are heaped to a great height on the shore. All disease will be removed if one babbles all the thousand names without ceasing, praising the god as, "one who has on his matted locks water! The one who has a frontal eye!"

In Sirkazhi of great bustle where the ships that sail on the accumulated waves, reach the shore with beautiful pearls, other precious stones and ornaments. The one who possesses a victorious battle axe!  Praising one who has a bull the diseases of birth which cannot be cured by other means, will not reach those who can adorn the God with garlands.

Today is the Telugu New Year Day.

I wish all our Telugu members a happy and prosperous New Year, with greater
progress in Atma Vicharam.

No doubt it could be said that the whole rhythm and flow of ancestral existence, with its veneration of the sacred custom and its deep and abiding love of life, is a kind of 'religion' in itself, but without being explicitly called such. And that this 'religion' in itself,
but without being explicitly called such. And that this 'religion' is compatible, for some,
with all the great and enduring spiritual traditions that flourish in this world.  However, the tribal elders did not consider themselves in desperate need of a certain dogma or creed, since everything in existence is permeated with divine content and comprises a partial manifestation (Juzi) of an infinite reality, beyond the power of man to define,
fully understand and so to limit.  And they sometimes compared different religions to works of art and poetry, each one as complete and self contained as the most beautiful painting or the most sublime and instructive oral epic. The painter, they said was not meant to quarrel with the poet, love the poetry, but to follow his calling.

21.  The world would be if one who is blind by birth becomes an expert in the evaluation of gems.  The world exists if the eclipse (Rahu) can be seen without the sun and the moon.

22. The mental creation would be if defective seed were to germinate. The world would exist, if the destitute were to enjoy the pleasures of the affluent.

23.  The world would exist if the milk that has been milked could revert to its source or if there were a reflection in the mirror without any object.

24.  If there were a reflection in the vacant sky, the world would exist.  An elephant cannot be born from the womb of a ram, so too there is no world in the Self.

25.  Just as the filament of cobweb are  product of a spider, so is the world full of Brahman (from which it has arisen).  Just as the cotton, upon burning, does not leave any residue, so too is the world non existent.

26.  Brahman is supreme, the light transcendental, beyond the transcendental and beyond all.  Differential knowledge and concepts of duality or non duality do not exist.

27. If the modes of mind which alone are the afflictions of the world exist, so would be their destruction. If bondage, which is the result of thought, should ever exist, resort to the contemplation on Brahman.

28. The concept of duality arises with ignorance, action, body and such.  Mind is the chronic disease.  Should it prevail, resort to the antidote called Brahman.

29. If 'I' becomes an enemy, be of the disposition 'I am Brahman alone'. If there should be affliction 'I am the body', counter it with the conviction 'I am Brahman.'

30.  If there is the devil of doubt, destroy it by Brahman itself. If possessed by the ghost of duality take refuge in the sacred ashes of non duality.
