Sheaves of corn with stalks are piled into hills;
The sifted grains are heaped into long hill-ranges;
The pearls of whorled conches are gathered
Into huge dazzling mountainous heaps;
Honey from blown flowers is distilled and stored apart.

பத்தியின் பால ராகிப்

மொய்த்தநீள் பத்தி யின்பால்
   முதிர்தலை வணங்கி மற்றை
வித்தகர் தன்மை போல
   விளைந்தன சாலி யெல்லாம்.



Serving devotees of the Lord, borne by bhakti
When meeting one another bow low their heads in obeisance;
Even so, the ears of corn, dense and full-grown,
Bow low in long and serried order and yield abundance
Like unto endless godly love that marks holy devotees.

சாலிநீள் வயலின் ஓங்கித்
   தந்நிகர் இன்றி மிக்கு
வாலிதாம் வெண்மை உண்மைக்
   கருவினாம் வளத்த வாகிச்
சூல்முதிர் பசலை கொண்டு
   சுருள்விரித் தரனுக் கன்பர்
ஆலின சிந்தை போல
   அலர்ந்தன கதிர்க ளெல்லாம்.


They grow lofty, dense and peerless, in the wide fields,
Rich in pure pulp, bright and white;
Eft soons they become pallid in advanced pregnancy;
Then they uncoil, and like the gracious hearts
Of those that are devoted to Siva,
Beam with light eventually.

முன்னைப் பழம்பொருட்கும் முன்னைப் பழம்பொருளே
    பின்னைப் புதுமைக்கும் பேர்த்துமப் பெற்றியனே
உன்னைப் பிரானாகப் பெற்றஉன் சீரடியோம்
    உன்னடியார் தாள்பணிவோம் ஆங்கவர்க்கே பாங்காவோம்
அன்னவரே எம்கணவ ராவார் அவர்உகந்து
    சொன்ன பரிசே தொழும்பாய்ப் பணிசெய்வோம்
இன்ன வகையே எமக்கெங்கோன் நல்குதியேல்
    என்ன குறையும் இலோமேலோ ரெம்பாவாய். 



O Ens who is more ancient than all the most ancient !
O One whose nature is more new than the most new !
We who have You as our Lord-God,
are Your glorious slaves.
We will but adore the scared feet of Your servitors;
We will belong only to them;
it is they who will be Our respective husbands.
What,
in joy,
they bid us,
We will do,
as their slaves.
O our Sovereign-Lord !
If You Bless us thus,
we will lack nothing,
Empaavaai !

Let us look into this second verse of Pancharatnam: 

In the verse, the form of Supreme Self is denoted with reference to the world.  To denote the
distinctness of the world, the word Jagat has not been used.  It has been simply pointed out as 'all
this' and the qualities of a picture are imposed on it.  Therefore, it is clear that the picture of the
Jagat cannot be held without the canvas of the Supreme Self, here Arunachala.  It is in Arunachala
that the world appears, stays and dissolves.  Arunachala is not in the world.  It is in the mind.
The mind is compressed body!  So, the mind is in the Self.  Body is also in the Self.  The world
is also in the Self.  All are in the Self.  Nothing is outside the Self.  Therefore, the Self or Brahman or Arunachala, is the One without a second.  Arunachala is the advaitic principle.

The whole picture, is not only a picture, Chitram, but also a Chitram, a great Wonder.  Moving and
un-moving are both contradictory like darkness and light.  Even then, it is seen that by a special
force, which excels in making the impossible happen, out of the Self or Arunachala, all these rise
and set.  To denote that there is no material cause other than Arunachala or the Self, for the
picture of the universe, Twai, in Thee, the locative is used. 

Even though Arunachala's status acts as a basis and support for the picture of the multitudes
of universe, Arunachala, is the instrumental cause for all that and Arunachala shines
within everything.  This is explained in the second half of the verse.

How can unmoving, dance?  Do not ask such questions.  Once a devotee asked Sri Ramakrishna:
What is God now doing?

Sri Ramakrishna answered:  He is busy pushing a camel into the needle's eye.  Nothing is impossible
for the Self or the God or Arunachala or Brahman.  He is Rachitala Tandava.. The One who moves not
and also dances!  He is infinite.  In Infinity, impossible becomes possible.  Mathematics says: 
That two parallel lines meet at infinity.  The Mathematics does not say, that the two parallel lines
shall never meet!  It will meet at Infinity.  This Infinite Principle is Godhead or Brahman.  There is
one holy name under 108 Holy Names of Bhagavan Ramana.  Om Rachitala Tandavaya Namah.

How can we know that there is no Vijatiya difference?

Without  the rope, there can be no snake on it.  Without the sky, there cannot be any coloring on it.
In the same way, without the Atman, there cannot be Anatman.  Without a basis, what is superimposed
on it have any existence, even temporarily.  All such objects superimposed are Mithya - false.  Mithya
means absolutely non existent in  the past, present, or future,  like a barren woman's son -Vindhya putra,
the horns of a hare, Sasa vishana etc.,  In the same way, as the Anatman does not actually exist, it cannot
limit the Atman. So the Atman has no Vijatiya bheda.

Thus we must develop healthy sleeping habits early in life so as to lead a happy and healthy life.
But to get up early morning we need to go to sleep early so that our body and mind will get
sufficient rest.  If we get up early in the morning, we will be able to do many things, before going to
college or office.  We will also be able to go for a refreshing walk in a park or a beach which will give
us good health. Going for a walk or a jog in the morning in the open, is beneficial not only for the
body but also for the mind.  The mind when exposed to the nature gets relieved of its stresses and gets
strengthened as it watches the trees and birds and the blue sky or the sunrise.  Moreover, the air is fresh
and unpolluted in the morning and breathing exercises such as Pranayama at  this time are very
beneficial.

How can this principle be correct with regard to the Atman? For, you have said that the same Chaitanya
exists as Brahma Chaitanya. Isvara Chaitanya, Kutastha Chaitanya and Jiva Chaitanya.  Is this not
Sajitiya bheda i.e. difference between entities of a similar nature?  Next as there are two, Brahman
on the one hand and Atman and the unconscious world outside on the other -  there is Vijatiya
difference or difference between two different kinds of entities.  Thirdly, in Brahman Itself there are
three entities called Sat, Chita and Ananda.  This is internal difference - Svagata bheda.  So how can
you say that the Atman is without three kinds of difference?


To the same sky is attributed various divisions according to the Upadhis, associated with it -
Mahakasa (Sky that is one expanse), Meghakasa (Sky seen against cloud), Ghatakasa (Sky seen
within a pot), Jala-pratibimba (Sky reflected in water).

It is however, the same sky that is seen differently according to the limitations imposed by Upadhis.
The difference is only in the adjuncts and not in the sky. In the same way, it is the same Consciousness
that is called Brahman and Isvara, when it is seen with the adjunct of Maya.  The same consciousness
is called Kutastha and Jiva, when it is seen with the adjunct and not in the Atman.  So the Atman is
without Sajatiya difference.

Wild grow the sweet-canes like a forest;
Gardens are all full of buds and blooms;
On all sides burgeon the blue lilies;
Conch and chank lie teeming in the fields;
The banks of tanks are thick with swans,
And tanks themselves are vast like seas!
No land, aye, by any means, can match the Chozha-land.

On the banks of tanks where carps thrive, lie the shells
Of dead snails; these serve them as toy-cooking-pots;
Into them they pour as water the nectar of flowers
And also pearls delivered by chanks;
Carapaces serve them as cooking-ovens;
For heating them with fire they use flame-red lotuses.
Thus on the ridges the little farm-girls play-act.

?These are not sugarcanes but only paddy stalks;
These are not areca trees but only sugarcanes.?
Thus are the fields by beholders described.
As bees thither pierce the blue lilies
Their dust scatters and make the day night.
?These are not buds but only breasts;
These are not nectar but only nectarean words.?
Thus, even thus, are they -- the myriad women
That stand thick in the fields.

They weed out red-lilies, but wear them on their dark locks;
They try to chase away the bees with their flowery hands
Which but attract other bees galore.
Their moon-like foreheads gently perspire;
Their teeth, like mullai-buds, flash out smiles;
They sip honey from new-blown lotuses.
