Is the refrain to be chanted after every verse?

Does verse 2 start with Azhahu or Azhagu?
On this site the text is given as Azhahu sundaram pol... but it think this could be a typo...

Did Bhagavan ever speak about Hanuman?
I currently try to learn the Hanuman Chalisa, it's not so easy when one doesn't have any Indian language as native tongue.
But I try nevertheless because I heard it gives great benefits.

Arunachala / No trees
« on: March 14, 2017, 04:41:17 PM »
Whenever I see a picture of Arunachala it makes me sad how bleak it is, no trees and no grass.
It seems that the grow of population has destroyed the green of the hill.
Are there any plans to do something about this problem?

Somwhere I read that Lakshmana Swami reached the self by continuous repetition of Har Har Ramana until the ego-self vanished.
I tried to find the site where I read this but without success.
Does someone know if it is true?

« on: December 13, 2016, 02:26:25 PM »
Greetings,

I know that Annamalai is the Tamil name of Arunachala, but has this name a special meaning?
What is the benefit of chanting Annamalai, Annamalai?

Best wishes,
Jyoti

General Discussion / The Shoa
« on: December 07, 2016, 05:14:44 PM »
We know that for Bhagavan there was nobody born, nobody dies, nobody ever killed anybody.
But for me the world is real, people are real, events are real.
When Bhagavan resided at Arunachala, the world suffered from World War II - especially the Jews underwent terrible sufferings.
Even if for Bhagavan nothing ever happened, I cannot help but wanting to know if He ever said something about the Shoa.
Does anybody know?

Found it :

Quote
Her body is fair like the campa flower;
His body is like camphor.
She has elaborately braided hair decked with pearls;
And he has matted hair.

I bow to Shivah and I bow to Shiva.

Her body is sprinkled with musk-vermillion powder;
His body is smeared with funeral pyre ash.
She has the power of sexual desire;
And He is adverse to it.

I bow to Shivah and I bow to Shiva.

From Her you hear the movement of tinkling anklets and bracelets,
His lotus feet have glistening anklets of snakes.
She is adorned with golden armlets,
And He has armlets of snakes.

I bow to Shivah and I bow to Shiva.

Her eyes are like large blue lotuses,
His eyes are like the red lotus.
Her eyes are even,
His eyes are uneven.

I bow to Shivah and I bow to Shiva.

She is wearing a garland of mandar flowers in Her hair,
He is wearing a garland of skulls around His neck.
She is wearing silks of divine quality;
And He is clad only by the sky.

I bow to Shivah and I bow to Shiva.

Her hair is dark like the monsoon clouds;
His matted locks flash with the luster of lightning.
She is Lord of All;
He is Lord of All.

I bow to Shivah and I bow to Shiva.

Hers is the dance that creates differentiation;
His is the dance that destroys everything.
I bow to the Mother of the Universe.
I bow to the Father of the Universe.

I bow to Shivah and I bow to Shiva.

Her earrings sparkle with radiant, precious stones;
His earrings are hissing snakes.
He embraces Her;
And She embraces Him.

I bow to Shivah and I bow to Shiva.

General topics / Jnani is not omniscient?
« on: October 01, 2013, 02:53:36 AM »
From here:

Quote
Saradamma: Some people think that jnanis are omniscient, that they have access to all the information in the world. The jnani doesn’t have all this information, or need it. If someone came up to me and said that Hyderabad is the capital of India, I might believe him if I didn’t already know that it is Delhi.

God (Ishvara) is omniscient, right?
Than why is Jnani, not?
Should he/she who is one with God not be like God?
