This is by D. Samarendra Reddy.

If one offers Me with love and devotion, a leaf, a flower, fruit or water, I will accept it.  - Bhagavad Gita:

Than your dear Krishna,
For showing me the easy way out
How difficult it would have been
If you had asked for my mind
For You see
Trees and water are in abundance
On this earth
But a mind I have only one
Though I speculate
What I would have got in return
If I offered my mind
At your feet
And sometimes think
If you accept it all
For it may not be as pure
As a leaf, flower, fruit or water.

Arunachala Siva.
