Title: Giving up on ambition
Post by: silence on January 21, 2013, 10:25:08 PM
Is it right to not have any ambition regarding career, money, success etc.? Since these things are predetermined by prarabhda karma, what's destined to happen will happen anyway, and our plans are therefore useless. So is it okay to adopt a rather passive attitude toward these matters?

Dear Silence,

I think it is good not to have ambitions for these things. It is showing that You are not attached to it. Only,in the mean time,it is good that You try to deeply investigate inside yourself why is that like that,do You truly dont have any ambitions,to see deeply all these motives,or passivity itself. It helps to bring to surface everything possible hidding inside, and to truly get to know your subconscious very well.

Anyway, adittude that everything is happening the way God wills, and complete trust in Him is the best aditude, only if its not covering for something else, some other reason then obvious one,if its not hidding or running from something. Which is not bad if we are aware of it. Then it loses its grip. Its very important that we know reasons for every motive.
Well, listen to yourself and be honest to yourself, that is the best way.

With love and prayers,
